Out in the corridor, a hitman confronts the mother with a silenced gun. He demands a file that can bring down the Moretti syndicate. The mother stays silent. The killer fires into her abdomen and finishes her off. Sloane stays hidden while blood pools across the floor.

A hitman shoots a woman dead in a hallway. Her body drops to the floor in front of a closed door. Red blood spreads across the floorboards and slowly trickles underneath the bedroom entrance.

Twelve years in the past, Sloane's mother runs into the bedroom holding young Sloane. She places a ring into the child's hands and instructs her to stay quiet. She pushes Sloane under the bed and exits the room.

In the hallway, the hitman traps Sloane's mother with a silenced handgun. He asks for the file on the Moretti organization. She denies having it. The assassin shoots her in the stomach, searches her pockets, and executes her after she speaks.

Blood flows beneath the closed door into the bedroom. Young Sloane covers her mouth with both hands while lying underneath the bed. She stays motionless and weeps in total silence as the red stain reaches her space.
