3. 01:28: Dark Smoke in the Hall

   Outside Karl's bathroom, his companions pick up a foul scent and a dark presence. They knock on the door and wonder why the curse is acting up before the full moon. Rolling black smoke spills out through the door crack.

   Karl kneels shirtless in a wide hall inside a glowing red magic circle. He explains that his family bears the Blood Emperor's curse. The intimacy activated it early, leaving him to endure the tearing bodily pain alone.
