While the father grumbles about the bill and his son urges compliance, John passes by in the hall. Looking through the glass, John's special vision detects glowing red lightning across the man's neck and jaw. John enters the room, where Alan mockingly calls him the ER's Dr. House.

Dr. Alan listens to an elderly patient report a headache, mild fever, and vomiting. Alan diagnoses him with a common cold and writes a prescription. The father grumbles about high medical bills while his son urges him to follow instructions.
00:45: Red Lightning at the Window
John walks down the hospital hallway and glances through the examination room window. His supernatural sight turns on. He spots red lightning pulsing along the elderly man's jaw and neck, beside a floating display reading Durability 92%.
00:51: Interruption in the Exam Room
John opens the door and walks straight into the room. Dr. Alan laughs when he sees him. Instead of greeting him normally, Alan sarcastically labels John the emergency room's newest celebrity and calls him Dr. House.

Will John speak up against Alan's cold diagnosis to examine the man himself, or will Dr. Alan's mockery push him right back out the door?
