Summary

The Cheating Mother-in-Law is a rebirth revenge short drama built around the vicious in-law trope. Fans of scheming mistresses, secret love children, and calculated payback traps will get a kick out of every confrontation.

Short drama regulars know how ruthless these beginnings can be. Avery Parker catches her mother-in-law Selena in a boutique fitting room with Dylan, the younger man Avery's father-in-law Victor has supported since middle school. The betrayal runs deep. Little Lucas is Dylan's secret love child, not Victor's, and the lovers are waiting for Victor to sign a will before murdering him. When Avery reveals what she saw, Victor and Andrew turn on her. Moments later, Dylan pushes the pregnant Avery directly into the path of an oncoming truck.

The drama really takes off when Avery wakes up right before the betrayal happened. Rebirth stories sink or swim based on how smartly the lead uses her second chance. Instead of yelling and getting kicked out again, Avery plays the long game. She doses Selena's bottle with pepper spray, nudges Victor toward locked doors, and orchestrates an entire fake business trip so the whole family can walk in on the truth.

EP 1: A Deadly Betrayal and a Second Chance
Avery catches Selena and Dylan together in a boutique dressing room. She overhears that Lucas is Dylan's child and they plan to kill Victor for the fortune. As she bleeds out, she suddenly wakes up back in the boutique with a second chance at life.
EP 2: A Spicy Surprise in the Handbag
Avery watches Selena and Dylan flirt over lingerie. Remembering her fatal mistake, she offers to hold Selena's handbag. Avery sneaks into the restroom, emptying pepper spray into Selena's cosmetic bottle. At the counter, Victor proudly displays an anniversary diamond ring for Selena to Andrew. Avery hands the bag back, watching Dylan walk toward the fitting rooms into her trap.
EP 3: The Countdown Begins
Victor shows off the diamond ring to his family, planning a romantic proposal on one knee. In the corridor, Dylan pulls Selena into an embrace, kissing her passionately despite the family waiting nearby. Selena tells Dylan to take something from her bag. Outside, Avery offers to check on Selena, quietly counting down until an abrupt commotion alerts Victor.
EP 4: Two Shadows Behind the Door
Avery leads Victor, Andrew, and Lucas to the fitting room, where Dylan groans from burning lubricant. Selena claims the zipper caught her skin. Avery points out two shadows under the door and loudly wonders if Dylan is inside. Suspicious of the excuses, Victor ignores Selena's protests and pushes the fitting room door open.
EP 5: Setting the Anniversary Trap
Dylan slips away through an air vent and pretends he was paying. Backed by Dylan, Selena accuses Avery of slander. Mr. Parker threatens Avery with expulsion. At home, Avery takes the blame and suggests Mr. Parker pretend to travel on business to stage a surprise anniversary party with relatives. Mr. Parker happily agrees, walking into Avery's trap.
EP 6: Right on Cue
Victor announces a business trip for several days. Selena feigns concern while Dylan promises to watch over the household. Avery rushes Andrew and Lucas out under the excuse of tutoring. As Victor walks down the driveway, he nervously confides in Andrew about the anniversary surprise. Dylan stealthily runs back inside the mansion, exactly as Avery predicted.
EP 7: A Deadly Scheme in the Bedroom
Victor leads relatives up the mansion steps, explaining how much he loves Selena and wants to make up for the past after she gave him another son. Meanwhile, Selena and Dylan lounge in bed upstairs. Dylan reminds Selena to sweet-talk Victor into leaving the estate to their son before they kill him.
EP 8: Kicking Down the Master Door
The returning family finds clothes scattered in the living room and a leopard-print bra on the stairs. Victor heads upstairs and hears noises in the master bedroom. Panicked, Selena stalls by claiming she was napping undressed. Avery urges Victor to break the door for safety. Enraged, Victor kicks the door open and storms inside with the family.
EP 9: A Scent Selena Cannot Explain
Victor and the crowd burst in to find Selena sitting alone in pajamas. Selena claims she was merely sorting laundry and watching television, accusing Avery of turning the family against her. The relatives begin to waver. Knowing Dylan could not leave through the crowded hall, Avery points out a suspicious scent in the air that does not smell like laundry.
