Never Look Back: The Dragon's Contract Bride: Recap by Episode

1. EP 1: The Abyss Agreement

Elle stands on the cliff above the Abyss threatening to jump rather than marry the dragon Isvel. Callista appears and offers to swap marriages. In exchange, King Severin must provide one billion gold coins so Callista can purchase the Dawnlight Petal for her comatose mother, Valentina. Severin accepts the demand. Callista warns Elle to keep the switch secret from Prince Gareth until their wedding day.

2. EP 2: Betrayal in the Bedroom

Callista uses fire magic to push past guard Georgia outside her chamber. Inside, she catches Gareth passionately embracing Elle. Gareth insults Callista, calling her a boring plaything he was forced to wed. Callista weeps in private. Later that night, Gareth stops by to mention Elle's upcoming party. When Callista acts distant, Gareth shrugs it off. Callista resolves that she no longer wants him.

3. EP 3: Blue Flames at the Ball

Gareth promises Elle he will elope with her on their wedding day. He carelessly picks wild flowers for Callista's birthday, but Callista incinerates them with blue flame and walks off. At the palace banquet ballroom, a bearded nobleman corners Callista and calls her a bastard princess. She slaps him. The nobleman binds her with dark magic cords and hauls her away as Gareth gives chase.

4. EP 4: A Deadly Spike

Elle feigns dizziness to delay Gareth, but Callista uses her flame power to break free from the captor inside a vine maze. Gareth arrives on a lion. Callista rejects his hand. Elle suddenly appears, prompting the dying captor to shoot lethal thorns. Gareth instinctively shields Elle. A spike impales Callista's chest. Callista kills the captor with a light spear, then collapses into Gareth's arms.

5. EP 5: The Underground Mission

The royal wizard repairs Callista's chest wound. When she wakes, she shoves Gareth away for protecting Elle instead of her. Callista hurls fire at Gareth, but Elle steps in and takes the blow. Gareth curses Callista and carries Elle out. Left weeping alone, Callista listens to the wizard, who urges her to take King Severin's one billion gold coins to the Underground City.

6. EP 6: The Stolen Cure

Underground City auctioneer Malaka presents the Dawnlight Petal. Callista wins it with her bid of one billion gold coins. Elle enters with Gareth, bidding two billion gold coins to snatch the petal away. Elle fakes injury pain, and Gareth orders Callista to surrender the remedy. When Gareth walks off, Callista screams that her mother will die without the cure, freezing Gareth in his tracks.
