2. EP 2: Betrayal and Scorn

   Ana opens the door and catches Bruno in bed with Valeria Muñoz. Valeria taunts her with their wedding ring while Bruno orders her to leave. When Ana slaps Bruno for wasting five years of her financial support, Valeria threatens her with a terrifying mob boss named Axe Mantilla. Bruno throws cash in Ana's face. Outside, an elite motorcade greets the wounded stranger as Mr. Mantilla.

3. EP 3: The Motel Treatment

   Lucas tries to escort his wounded boss to a private clinic, but Axe stays behind in Anna's rented car. Anna finds Axe bleeding heavily from a stab wound and checks him into a nearby motel room under the excuse of a drunken boyfriend. Anna explains she is a trained physician ready to stitch his wound. Axe unbuttons his trousers, flustering his new doctor.

4. EP 4: Morning Deposit

   Anna patches Axe's abdominal wound and falls asleep beside his bed. The next morning, Axe steps out of the shower wearing only a towel.    Anna goes down to the motel lobby to request an extension on her room. Bruno appears alongside his companion and spots Anna at the front desk. Suspecting she is harboring someone inside, Bruno grabs Anna, shoves her to the floor in the hallway, and demands to search her room. He places his hand on the doorknob while Anna watches from the floor.

6. EP 6: A Marriage Proposal

   Axe steps into the hallway and levels a firearm at Bruno's forehead. Bruno retreats alongside Valeria, who promises to use her father's mafia connections to deport Anna. Anna breaks down on the carpet because her dream of legal residency in the United States is gone. Axe kneels beside her and proposes marriage to secure her green card as payment for saving his life.

7. EP 7: Courthouse Revelations

   Anna and Axe sign their legal marriage certificate before a nervous civil official. Outside the registry office, Anna questions why Axe shares the exact name of Alejandro Mantilla, the feared syndicate leader. Axe denies the connection. A fleet of black SUVs suddenly pulls into the courtyard. Armed guards step out, bow deeply to Axe, and address him openly as their boss.

   Anna pulls away from Axe and cooks a bowl of spaghetti for dinner. During their toast, Anna breaks down in tears over five years of Bruno exploiting her sacrifices before casting her aside. Axe leans across the dining table, holds Anna's face, and kisses her. He warns her that if she ever weeps over Bruno again, he will kill him on the spot.

10. EP 10: The Hospital Arrival

    Alejandro clarifies over breakfast that nothing improper occurred between them overnight. Anna heads to Mantilla Hospital, where Dr. Diana Vargas hires her as a surgical resident based on stellar credentials. A spoiled blonde patient claims her father directs the clinic and fires Anna on sight. Down the corridor, Alejandro walks through with an armed entourage, greeted respectfully as Mr. Mantilla.

11. EP 11: A Lethal Syringe

    Valeria Muñoz confronts Anna at the clinic desk, claiming the doctor forged her residency paperwork. Valeria's guards pin Anna to the ground, and Valeria prepares a syringe filled with penicillin. Diana and Anna shout that Anna has a fatal allergy to the drug, but Valeria raises the needle anyway. Axe marches into the corridor with his bodyguards and bellows for the attack to stop.
