Married for a Fortune: Recap by Episode

1. EP 1: A Lucrative Proposal

A young woman in a pink bunny mascot costume struggles through an exhausting workday. A flyer lands on her lap offering a hundred million prenup guarantee to marry the comatose heir of the Beltrán family. She takes the deal and visits the bedroom of Damien Beltrán. When she unbuttons his pajamas to clean his torso, Damien abruptly opens his eyes and grabs her wrist.

2. EP 2: Awake and Unimpressed

Lia explains to Damian that she only intended to clean him. Damian stares back coldly. His mother enters and weeps with joy. She immediately summons Dr. Arturo. The doctor confirms Damian is physically stable, though his legs lack sensation. When the mother presents Lia as the wife she selected, Damian dismisses her. Terrified of losing her fortune, Lia listens as her mother-in-law whispers private advice.

3. EP 3: Ten Million for an Heir

Damian's mother asks Lia whether the couple consummated the marriage. She promises Lia ten million to bear Damian a child and gives her a valuable emerald bracelet. Damian protests from bed, but his mother ignores him. Once they are alone, Lia teases Damian about his handsome build. She sheds her coat and climbs onto the bed. She kisses his cheek to test his resolve.

4. EP 4: Rehabilitation Duties

Damian pushes Lia away and mocks her appearance. Offended, Lia retreats to the sofa. The next morning at breakfast, Lia admits to her mother-in-law that Damian rejected her advances. Damian ignores his mother's advice and wheels himself back to bed. Lia steps forward and volunteers to oversee his daily physical therapy. The mother agrees, though she wonders whether Damian will actually obey his new wife.

5. EP 5: Massage Therapy

Lia brings massage oil to Damian's bedroom to rub his legs. Damian accuses her of trying to take advantage of him, but she continues the treatment. When she massages his knee, Damian grips the sheets in pain. His mother suddenly walks into the room and misinterprets the scene. She celebrates the prospect of a grandchild before hurrying out. Damian orders Lia to leave, but Lia leans in closer.

6. EP 6: Spilled Milk and Silly Dances

Lia washes Damian's feet and spills milk on his pajamas to provoke a reaction. Damian sees through her trick and tells her to call Lucia. While gesturing, Lia accidentally splashes milk across Damian's face. Terrified of forfeiting her ten million, Lia sings and dances awkwardly to distract him. Damian roars at her to shut up. His furious shout alerts his mother out in the hall.

7. EP 7: Playing the Victim

Mercedes praises Lia for her devotion. Damian warns his mother not to fall for Lia's performance. Lia quickly weeps and plays the victim. Convinced, Mercedes comforts Lia and hands her a generous check for her hard work. After Mercedes leaves, Lia inspects the money with glee. Damian forbids her from sleeping in his bed, but Lia playfully asks if he wants her on top.

8. EP 8: Sharing the Bed

Damian sends Lia to sleep on the sofa. Overjoyed with her ten-million check, Lia accidentally tumbles onto the floor. Damian takes pity on her and lets her sleep on the bed. Lia cuddles him and falls asleep, muttering about hiring eight male models. Damian wakes the next morning with Lia lying across his chest. He yells her name. A woman in a suit runs into the bedroom at the sound.

9. EP 9: The Big Reveal

Damian's mother rushes inside. Lia immediately sheds tears and plays the victim, convincing Mercedes to scold Damian and promise a shopping trip. After Mercedes leaves, Damian accuses Lia of hunting for the Beltrán fortune. Lia drops her act and proposes an honest business deal to provide an heir. She taunts his paralysis. Damian suddenly moves his legs, and Lia freezes in utter shock.
